Hey everyone – here’s something exciting if you’re in Tenerife next weekend!
Adeje is hosting its very first Chicken Fair on Saturday, June 14, right on Calle Grande, and it promises to be finger-lickin’ fantastic! This brand-new event celebrates the town’s most iconic local dish – pollo al estilo Adeje – a marinated chicken recipe that’s become a culinary symbol of the area since the 1960s.

Running from 6pm to midnight, the fair will feature nine of Adeje’s best-loved restaurants, each serving their own unique spin on this classic dish – from traditional flavours to creative modern takes. Expect half portions with tasty side dishes, local wines from the Abona region, and even homemade desserts!
There’ll be live music all evening with performances by Parranda El Mesturao, The Vid Band, Escuela de Calor, and more. Plus, families are welcome – there’s a kids’ play area too!
And if you’re keen to learn the secrets of the marinade or the perfect side salad, check out the free workshops on June 12 and 13 at the CDTCA (Costa Adeje Centre for Tourism Development) – open to everyone.

The fair is backed by Adeje Town Hall, local business associations, and regional tourism bodies. It’s all about celebrating tradition, boosting local restaurants, and sharing this beloved dish with visitors and locals alike.
Mark your calendar – Saturday, June 14 – and come hungry!
