Starting beside Playa del Bobo
This Wednesday morning walk begins beside Playa del Bobo in Costa Adeje, close to Salytien and the H10 Gran Tinerfe. It is already a warm day, so I test a small extension on the walking rig that allows me to put the equipment down and keep talking without constantly searching for a bench.
The first part of the walk follows the coast, with views across the water towards Playa Paraíso. There is the usual mix of restaurant menus, local prices, beach observations and a little food talk after finding proper lacón for the previous day’s pancakes.
A surprise chat with Alexandre and Luba
One of the best moments happens when a couple stop to say hello. Alexandre and Luba are originally from Ukraine, now live in France and are spending two weeks on holiday in Tenerife.
They join the livestream for a friendly conversation about where they are staying, where I live and how they can find the channel. It is completely unplanned and exactly the sort of encounter that makes these morning walks different every time.
Crossing the Adeje–Arona border
The route continues towards the boundary between Adeje and Arona. From there, I take the path through the barranco behind the busier tourist strip.
It is cooler under the trees, but the area has plenty of rubbish and the mobile signal struggles badly. The climb out is hard work in the heat, and by the time I reach the top I am more than ready to find somewhere for coffee.
Cachito and café bombón
After checking a few places, I settle down near Hotel Troya and Magma. The stop brings a cachito, a café bombón and a useful rest before the return journey.
The food and coffee are both good, and the café also gives me time to answer questions about Tenerife, Final Cut Pro training and the practical side of making videos.
Building a new virtual studio with AI
The conversation turns to a possible series of tech reviews. I explain how I want three matching camera angles: a wider view behind a desk, a closer front-facing shot and a side angle with a large screen for showing whatever I am discussing.
After discovering that ready-made virtual studio sets can be expensive, I decide to try creating the whole set with AI instead. The first results are promising, although the desk, windows and screen positions still need refining.
Returning past Magma and Siam Park
The final walk heads back past Magma, the bus station and Siam Park before cutting down through Los Agaves towards Salytien. There are stops to point out the fruit shop, local businesses, restaurants and wheelchair access before arriving back beside Playa del Bobo.
It is a long, hot walk, but it includes coastline, local streets, food, friendly strangers and plenty of behind-the-scenes creator talk.
