Summary
This episode began with a relaxed plan: walk down through Callao Salvaje, see which cafés were open, and sit somewhere shady for a morning coffee.
Momo’s turned out to be the right choice. After setting up the gear and trying out a set of conversation cards, the morning quickly became much more social. Valda and Karen came over to say hello, Jean and Richard joined the table briefly, and before long Webby arrived to add his usual mix of football, jokes and local chat.
The episode then moved from café conversation into a village walk, down past the French bakery, through the steps to the seafront, and along towards Ajabo Beach. There was also a lovely little guest moment with Kitty and Tegan before the final uphill walk home and the sign-off.
What we talked about
The morning started with a walk through Callao Salvaje, including local hotels, new building work, the bus stop and the usual live-chat check-ins.
At Momo’s, Tim set up the table, showed the conversation cards and explained how they could be used to break the ice. That turned out to be exactly what happened when Valda and Karen joined the stream.
The conversation moved through family, early marriage, moving house, school days, accents, timeshares, legal work, personal injury claims, barraquitos and life in Tenerife.
When Webby arrived, the energy changed again. Football, hats, Sangrilla, live-streaming, regular viewers and birthday songs all came into the mix.
Later on, the chat moved into travel rules, EES, Spain’s rollout delays, UK/EU travel and the wider frustrations around post-Brexit travel.
The final section became a proper Callao Salvaje village walk, with stops at the French bakery, local shops, the beach path, Momo Beach and a final bench chat before heading home.

Full write-up
This was meant to be a simple Monday morning coffee stream from Callao Salvaje, but like many of the best live shows, it became something better because people joined in naturally.
Tim started by walking down towards the village, checking in with the live chat and talking through the local area. There was a bit of hotel spotting, a look at the building works, a mention of the bus stop and the usual easy mix of Tenerife life and viewer comments.
Momo’s became the chosen stop because it was shaded and comfortable for a warm morning. Once the coffee arrived and the gear was set up, Tim brought out a pack of conversation cards given to him by Cath. The idea was simple: pick a question and use it to get people talking.
That idea quickly paid off.
Valda and Karen came over to say hello, and the stream turned into a proper table conversation. They talked about where they were from, how they had found Callao Salvaje, timeshares, family, school, accents and what it was like moving around. The conversation cards helped break the ice, but the best parts came from the natural back-and-forth.
Jean and Richard also joined briefly, adding more voices to the table before the chat moved into Manchester, Yorkshire and school memories. From there, the conversation took a funny turn into legal work, personal injury claims and stories from Karen’s career. Tim added his own memories and jokes, including a very funny childhood idea of what married life was supposed to look like.
There was also a proper Tenerife coffee lesson when barraquitos came up. Tim explained the layers, the condensed milk, Licor 43, coffee, milk foam, cinnamon and lemon peel, and most importantly, how you’re supposed to stir it before drinking it.
Then Webby arrived, and the energy changed again.
With Webby at the table, the stream moved into football, hats, stories from Sangria la, YouTube channels and birthday songs. Everton Matthews got a song, the live chat kept rolling, and there was plenty of the usual friendly teasing between Tim and Webby.
The conversation also had a more practical section when EES and travel rules came up. Tim explained that countries were not really scrapping EES, but delaying or softening parts of the rollout during busy times. That led naturally into the wider topic of UK visitors, European travel and the wish to make movement easier again.
After the café section, Tim left Momo’s and took the stream back out through Callao Salvaje. The walk passed the French bakery, local shops and the village streets before heading down the steps towards the beach. There was a useful reminder about the UV index and the need for factor 50 during the hottest part of the day.
Down by the seafront, Tim explored the Ajabo Beach area and then found a place to sit for a while. That led to another lovely guest moment when Kitty and Tegan stopped to say hello, explained they were on holiday for three nights, and found the YouTube channel while standing there.
The final stretch was the uphill walk home through Callao Salvaje. Tim talked with the live chat, pointed out the dog park and the building works, and finally sat down for a closing chat. He reminded viewers about the live schedule, tonight’s show, the events page, and the new Cook Off channel.
It ended with the usual sign-off and a final look across to Teide — a very Tenerife ending to a very Tenerife morning.
